Springfield Country Club is looking for an individual with an educational background in turfgrass management or related field, or working toward a degree, for full-time employment. Candidate must be an outgoing, hardworking individual with good communication skills. Experience in golf course maintenance is preferred but not necessary. Position will require 30-45 hours/week including weekends, depending on the time of year. Job duties include mowing, bunker and landscape maintenance, tree removal and trimming, fertilizer and pesticide applications, and course setup.
Other opportunities to learn budgeting, team building, leadership, and chemical and fertility programs will also be developed. Springfield Country Club has hosted the Ohio Am, the Ohio Senior Am, and the US Senior Challenge. Springfield Country Club has also hosted The US Open Sectional Qualifier for 9 of the last 10 years, one of only 13 host sites internationally. Our goal is to provide the best possible playing conditions daily, and provide a first-class, modern golfing experience on our 1921 Donald Ross course.
