General Nature of Work:
The successful candidate will be highly motivated to learn, have superior organizational skills and be able to work within a team setting. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of golf course management including but not limited to fertilizer and pesticide applications, irrigation repair, staff management, agronomic planning, budgeting, water management, and career development.
A bachelor’s degree in turf grass management and currently employed as lead assistant preferred. Must have Ohio pesticide license or be able to obtain within 6 month probationary period.
One to three years of progressively responsible experience in golf course maintenance and supervisory experience. Work on a golf course and must have track record of being hands-on and have an eye for detail.
Candidate should be able to work side by side with the superintendent and contribute to daily activities taking place on the golf course. It is important to be able to communicate and prioritize work with the management and crew. Individual must be highly motivated with golf course management as their passion. Honesty and integrity are a must as is a strong work ethic. This position has high responsibility levels and is a tremendous opportunity for a motivated individual to work, while adding to their educational base which will prepare them for the next step in their career.
